With the popularity of cosmetic procedures of the face, colleagues in specialties other than plastic surgery have entered the field, limiting their work to the skin or nose or eyes or face. We welcome them, but are proud of the certification of Dr. McAvoy by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which is the board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties for certification in plastic surgery. Added to that credential is membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, an honor reserved for a limited number of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons.
The true measure of success in surgery is the happy patient. We present here examples of facelifts (rhytidectomy), nosejobs (rhinoplasty), eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), ear correction (otoplasty), hair transplantation and chemical peels.
